The Importance of our Subcontractors, Suppliers and Vendors

Manhattan's achievements and position as one of the nation's top contractors has come about, in large part, through the relationships that we maintain in the subcontracting community. We have a reputation for being firm, but fair, and for encouraging a spirit of teamwork on all of our projects. We require strict adherence to the policies and procedures we have in place relative to safety, quality, and productivity. We would never impose standards on our subcontracting partners that we would not live by ourselves. Our track record of successful projects is indicative of our ability to work with the local subcontracting community.

In an ongoing effort to build better relationships with our subcontractors, vendors and suppliers, Manhattan has created a standard subcontract agreement known as our General Provisions document. This agreement allows subcontractors who do repeat business with Manhattan to negotiate terms and conditions of our subcontracts ahead of time and keep them on file for future work. As new subcontracts are awarded to a subcontractor or supplier, the General Provisions are amended to include the new project's specific scope, terms, and any special conditions. It also allows us to keep track of all Certificate's of Insurance and/or Letters of Bond for our subcontractors. If you are interested in receiving a copy of these general provisions, please e-mail the respective Contract Administrator for the office you wish to do business with.

Manhattan actively solicits participation by minority subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers and are committed to Equal Employment Opportunity on every project. We actively support local subcontracting associations, minority business organizations, and other associations dedicated to improving the spirit of cooperation between contractor and subcontractor. This proactive approach has resulted in mutually respectful working relationships and we recognize that sound relationships with our subcontracting community is crucial to our mutual success. We take pride in our projects and our reputation for integrity in the industry.
