In the 1980's, Manhattan felt it necessary to expand operations from its original home in Muskogee, Oklahoma to the growing city of Tulsa and the state capitol, Oklahoma City. By opening operations within Oklahoma City, Manhattan was able to better serve its clients in central and western Oklahoma.

For over a century, and through long-standing relationships with clients such as Integris Healthcare Systems and the University of Oklahoma, Manhattan has been able to frame the skyline of Oklahoma City with landmark structures. In 1907, Manhattan was the proud builder of the original capitol building in Guthrie, Oklahoma and the relocated capitol to Oklahoma City in 1919. As history often repeats, Manhattan has again been hired to construct the new capitol dome, which is currently under way.
