Located on Bee Street on the MUSC Campus in Charleston, SC, the project will consist of a 588,401 square foot, 8-level parking deck, which will accommodate 1,500 automobiles. The garage will be constructed of pre-cast concrete and brick veneer, architectural precast, curtain wall, glass and stainless steel vision screens will clad the facade of the building.
Construction began in March of 2007 and is scheduled for completion in September 2008.
Manhattan is providing complete general contracting services which include construction administration, scheduling, value engineering services and procurement of all materials and systems.
In addition to this new parking deck, Manhattan Construction Co. has recently provided construction services on several other notable projects for The State of South Carolina. Among these is a multi-level parking garage on Blossom Street at University of South Carolina’s main campus in Columbia, the Clemson University Advanced Materials Research Laboratory, the Carroll A. Campbell, Jr. Graduate Engineering Center at CU-ICAR and the Clemson Memorial Stadium West End Zone.
