PASADENA POLICE COMPLEX TOPS OUT

PASADENA, Tex. - Manhattan Construction Company has topped out the two-story, 81,550 square foot Pasadena Police Complex project. The "Topping Out" celebration was held on January 10, 2008. The event commemorated the final piece of steel put into place on the building structure bringing it to its maximum height.

The new police complex will include offices for the Pasadena Police Department. The project provides areas for the Crime Scene Investigators, Code Enforcement, City Emergency Operations Center, detention and meeting space. The City's Emergency Operations Center will use the facility during disasters. The entire building is supported by emergency generators and has been designed to withstand hurricane winds, floods and other disasters. The structural steel frame building is designed to be secure for the law enforcement personnel, as well as, convenient for public use.

In appreciation of those involved with the project, Manhattan catered lunch for project client representatives, architect and subcontractors.

The project is scheduled for completion in December 2008.
