HUDSON JOINS MANHATTAN AS SUBGUARD MANAGER

DALLAS, Tex. - Manhattan Construction Company has named Beverly Hudson as SubGuard Manager. Hudson joins the company's Risk Management Department where she will manage the company's Subguard program and subcontractor prequalification process. Most recently, Hudson has overseen Subguard programs with $1.5 billion of subcontractor volume annually. Additionally, she has experience in managing large Owner Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIP) and Contractor Controlled Insurance Programs (CCIP). Hudson holds the Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation from the International Risk Management Institute, Inc. She has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry.

Andrea Nelson, Director of Risk Management at Manhattan Construction, said, "Beverly's large SubGuard program experience and her enthusiasm will be a tremendous asset for Manhattan as its program continues to grow."

Nelson said, Manhattan Construction Company began its SubGuard program in 2002. She said, Manhattan Construction has never made a SubGuard claim for subcontractor default. She attributed the program's success to the company's rigorous subcontractor prequalification process which helps to ensure only qualified subcontractors are performing the work. She said, this is a testament to the quality product Manhattan provides.

SubGuard is a first party insurance policy that provides coverage to the Project Owner, Lender and Manhattan Construction Company for the direct and indirect costs of subcontractor defaults.
