TAMPA, Fla.– Manhattan Construction Company has promoted Stephen McDonald to the position of Operations Manager for the Company’s Tampa divison. McDonald will oversee field construction and operational plans for all of the company’s Florida-area projects. Prior to his promotion to Operations Manager, McDonald served as Senior Project Manager at the company where he specialized in overseeing large, complex commercial projects. Most recently, he directed the construction on the Yacht Haven Grande Resort (http://www.yachthavengrande.com/), a luxury resort and a premier facility for mega-yachts in the Caribbean located on St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Additionally, McDonald has worked as Quality Control Manager for the company. McDonald joined Manhattan Construction in 1999.

“Stephen is recognized in the industry for his expertise in directing highly complicated construction projects including resorts, high-rises, and sports arenas,” said Frank Fralick, Executive Vice President of Manhattan’s Tampa division. “That experience, coupled with his quality control background, provides a perfect combination of skills to oversee operations.”

McDonald has 30 years of construction industry experience and is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction.
