Our Safety Engineers assist in the overall supervision and administration of project safety, accident, and fire protection programs to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. They participate in developing and instructing safety orientation training, accompany inspection agencies on job site tours, and assist in any safety/first aid and rescue squad activities. It is their responsibility to document all accidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions/activities, as well as conduct work area surveillance inspections, property, damage, and personal injury investigations.
Qualifications:
- Four year occupational safety/health degree
- Three to four years construction/industrial safety experience or equivalent combinations of training and related experience
- Advanced knowledge and ability to enforce, all federal, state, local, and company safety regulations
- Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures
- Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential
